Maybe a good fit for a sherman tank....

Bought this blanket a while ago during a 50% off sale. So far, I would say that the quality of the blanket is below average- My gelding has had his on a couple of weeks just wearing it in the stall and has gotten some pretty good snags in the fabric, where his stable blanket doesn't have a single snag on it from a winter of wear. . But the fit leaves something to be desired. Adjusting it to where it's comfortable for my Saddlebred has been a challenge. For starters, I recommend ordering a size smaller- my 17-2 hh boy wears a true 78" and is kind of swimming in this blanket. The blanket seems to be cut to fit something of a draft physique- very broad and extremely large bodied. By the time I adjust the chest straps to have the gussetts anywhere near his shoulders to prevent rubbing, he can barely lower his head to eat hay- it just closes the front up too much. The weight is also not what I thought it would be- the fleece it's lined with is fairly heavy, making it barely a step down from a midweight stable blanket. Better suited to a mild winter than spring time. . I am also squeamish about the surcingle length- I would love to be able to adjust them about 9" shorter than their shortest length but because the surcingles are attached pretty low, it's just not an option- I'm just waiting for him to tear a surcingle off while getting up from rolling..... In recap, the quality is okay... But it's not a good option for a refined horse, and only worth the price I paid during the 50% off sale.

Great sheet!

Nice quality sheet. I haven't had it long enough to really comment on its durability, but so far it's holding up great. I ordered this sheet in the navy and red color, which looks nicer than in the pictures. My horse normally wears a 76" blanket in most brands and the 75" is a good fit. This sheet has gotten soaked from snow and rain but so far my horse has always been warm and dry underneath.

Great Product!

This was the first thing I have ordered through Horze & was extremely impressed with the quality. I found the sizing to run a little large, I ordered the same size as my horses Rambo and this was a tad too big but not so much so that I wanted to return it. I will happily & confidently buy more things from Horze!

Winter Warmer!

The fleece lining in these is only in the top two thirds of the blanket. Which I like because if my horse lays in the mud it's not soaking thru and weighting the blanket down around the lower belly. Not sure of durability yet as they've not worn them that much. My concern is the way the belly surcingles are stitched in, there's no support around that area as it's below the fleece. Nice medium weight. Our winters are cold nights, warmer days so these work great and you're not having to take off for the day temps and reblanket constantly.

LOVE THIS SHEET!!!!

It is fabulous. From the coloring and fit. The embroidery is just esquisite. The fleece is pretty thick so it can easily pass as a light to mid blanket. We live in the Rocky Mtns so our winters can get a bit rough at times. I absolutely recommend.
