Economic jodhpur in synthetic leather with elastic at the sides and a pull-on loop at the back.
I just received these boots and couldn't be more delighted. Unlike many synthetics in this price range, these boots are very soft and comfortable- my first time wearing them yeilded no rubs or discomfort at all. The sole is more substantial than some boots in this price range too- not flimsy but still sensitive on the stirrup iron. They are elegantly styled- no pointy elf toes here. My only negative comment is that they could use some arch support, but I should be able to just add an insole. I ordered a size larger than I needed (they may run slightly generous) but my mother who is starting to ride tried them on and liked them so much, she bought them off me and I ordered a size smaller. Now waiting with baited breath for my next order!
