I've never bought half chaps before because I just didn't like the way they are made. These are in my opinion perfect. The leather is butter soft, they are very well made and the elastic is very generous but still keeps the chaps snug. I am thrilled with this purchase - plus I found a 50% code online and got them half price. Doesn't get much better than that!
Written on by DustyRiderI got these in brown/small to go with 38077 brown classic jod boots. Small in this model fits 13-14.5 inch (33-37 cm) calf diameter. I measure 13 inches and they fit well over breeches and socks. Two inch wide elastic zip section allows for stretch. I like how the lower front protects part of the boot from scratching, dust, etc. The lower back is cut a bit higher which makes them fit over my size 41 (9.5-10) boot. These are not lined, so are better for warmer weather and have suede texture inside. They are tall enough for long legs at 15-3/8 inches (39 cm) measuring straight down from the metallic logo. This model doesn't have a Spanish top-just a gentle curve, which also makes them more casual.
