Laced leather creates a perfect grip.
I bought these to replace some web reins but sent them right back. The buckle fixtures were flimsy and the leather on the braiding was super thin which wouldn't last long against sweat and regular use. But if you want to have a back-up pair around that you wouldn't use often, you can't beat that price.Written on by Anonymous
I was surprised to find black laced reins at such an affordable price. I ride dressage but dislike the feel of web reins and find rubber reins to be a bit too bulky, so I was very glad to find these. They are a little stiff out of the box, but a few coats of leather conditioner or neatsfoot oil really soften these reins up nicely. I have only owned them for about a month so I cannot speak to their durability just yet, but they appear to be well made of reasonably good quality leather and fittings.Written on by Lauren D.
