I bought these pants in the steel grey color and I love the color. I would have to agree the sizing does run a little large. I normally wear a size 28 and probably would have been better with a 26. The inseam also runs long. I am 5'4" so I just cuff them. The fabric seems durable even though it's is on the thinner side. I live in colder climate so I usually wear a layer underneath when the temps really drop.
Written on by AnonymousThese are really nice quality for the price point. The full seat material is a very nice faux suede that is soft and grippy, it also washes very well (line dry unless you want to shrink). The fabric is a woven type, not knit, so the fabric is substantial enough to cover the lumps and bumps us girls try to hide. I got the steel gray color and it is GORGEOUS. Sizing-wise I'd say these are a half-size off. I usually wear a 28, but ordered these in a 26 and they are a little tighter than I'd like; but I'm hoping they'll stretch with wear. No matter, I will be getting more of these!!!
Written on by AllisonI recently bought these to go with a gold hunt coat for my breed hunter. They are fabulous! I've always shown in tailored sportsmans, but my new coat my husband had made for me was the exact same greenish-beige color, and it was just way too much beige on my mahogany bay. I've been looking for the right color brown and a full seat that's not obvious, and this is the winner. They are a dark pretty brown with a reddish tone, but not quite so dark to blend in with my tall boots (popular within breed hunters but not my favorite look). The suede seat s exactly the same color as the fabric, so won't be noticeable in the ring. The fabric is a nice substantial weight that does not show any bulges or dimpling. I always wore sliding short like things under my TS breeches, but don't need to with these. Also, the fabric is a nice smooth tight weave, not at all knit-like as I might have expected at this price point. The fit is great and as others have described. I have a small waist and larger hips and thighs, and they are proportioned great for me. Also, as others have mentioned, the length is great for us really tall gals, and the suede goes all the way down so it doesn't crease under tight tall boots. Try these out for show or practice... You'll love them!
Written on by PonygirlatcuaJust got these breeches and I really am impressed with the quality of the material. The legs are long enough for someone with a long leg and those who like their breeches all the way to the ankle. I wish I had ordered one size smaller as they may run a little large. I will order these again especially for the price I got mine on sale so even better! Thank you.
Written on by E.L.Quality is good, but the cut does run long. Also, the waist seemed a bit large for the sizing as well. Purchased a pair as a gift for my mother, who is a bit short legged. They were WAY too long, and the waist was several inches too generous. She was able to exchange them. Based on our experience, I'd suggest ordering on the smaller side, if you're inbetween sizes.
