Horze Lyon Synthetic Leather Gloves
These gloves are a welcome addition to my kit. As a rider with long fingers, it can be difficult for me to find gloves that fit properly. And if there is one thing I cannot stand it is feeling like I have "webbed" fingers when wearing gloves that are not properly proportioned. The Lyon gloves do not suffer from this problem. As such, they satisfy my top criterion for "good gloves." The stretch synthetic leather has enough give to make the gloves comfortable, and the Lycra insets at the knuckles and between fingers further enhance this flexibility. One small detail that these gloves lack is reinforcement on the inside-most top surface of the index finger, where the snaffle rein typically lies. In the Lyons, these points are single-thickness Lycra which means that they could be subject to premature wear. I have not had these long enough, however, to pass final judgment on this issue. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by these gloves, and I hope that they hold up to long-term use. Sizing note: The Lyons sizes are not unisex. I have a large hand for a woman, and was glad I ordered XLs. These would be roughly equivalent to a men's "medium" glove, as that is the size I wear in Neumann Tackified gloves.Written on by EquusIntuitive
