Upon first inspection, this Bridle is light as a feather. The strips of leather, like the throat-latch are very thin, But maybe I am just used to very thick bridles. This is definantly not a bad thing though, I bet my baby likes it much better than a heavy and thick bridle. One thing I absolutely love about this product is that the cheek-piece clasps are facing outward, not inward, NOT digging into the horses cheek! I really appreciate the design. It also is easy to adjust while the bit is in the horses mouth, no need to take bridle off too adjust to every horses needs and size, very handy! The bridle comes very dry, so be prepared to oil It like crazy. I rubbed oil in generously, and came back 1 minute later and it was like I never even put it on. cannot speak for durability, but I will write a review in a mo. or two, to give an update about that. Just a tad worried that this might not hold up to 5+ days a week riding, but maybe it will surprise me:) I have a 15 1/2 hh Quarter horse that is very fine-boned, looks like a TB-WB mix. If you have a horse with a boxy jaw, but shorter head frame like mine, if it is any smaller that 15 1/2 hh, get a Cob size. Got the Full/horse size, Everything is on the last hole, but i am quite used to doing this, due to her face shape. I chose the Copper color for My shiny palomino, and was not dissapointed! It was really pretty, and I love the fact that this bridle is black, something a little different than the everyday usual. This bridle is on amazon for $44.95, so send horze a link and ask for a price match! save a few bucks, cause with shipping, this runs around $54.90 Slightly cracky surface on the leather upon recievement, but hopefully the oil will do it's magic! So all-in-all, I'm pretty sure this is worth it! wayyyyy better than paying $150 for a schooling bridle somewhere else, as long as it last's 2+ years.
I can not say how many times I love this bridle! It is so unique, stylish and looks great on my bay horse! I chose the Teal and black, but I might get another in another color, maybe the black and pinkish/red! My horse normally fits in a horse size and the horse size fit him fine. Love this bridle!!!!
What a cute bridle and for the price it is absolutely amazing. The leather is a bit stiff, but it's new so it'll soften a bit with use and cleaning. Unfortunately it was a little tight for my horse through the crown piece and short on the cheek pieces, but everything else fit. The color padding is also very subtle so it's great for both shows and schooling.
nice bridle, fits well. Runs a tad bit large for a full sizcopper is a nice color.
I got the teal and black and was surprised at how pretty the teal metallic color was! My guy normally wears a cob or a horse size bridle depending on the brand. but since my last horze bridle was a cob and was way too small, I ordered a horse size this time. The crown piece was waaaay too big (like warmblood size big) and if the cheek pieces stretch I'll have to punch holes. The leather is stiff and the holes for the buckles are super tiny and hard to use, but I'm hoping with use can conditioning it will soften up. As far as styling goes, the crystals are pretty but I wish they used silver metal to mount them rather than gold which clashes with the buckles. It would have been even nicer if the noseband was a tad bit wider too, but overall it will make a very nice schooling bridle!
There are ways to keep you and your horse safe while out on the trails.
1. Have your horse desensitized to scary situations that you may see on the trail.
2. Slowly introduce your horse to traffic.
