This is a great product, it has a great high neck design for awesome protection from the rain and cold. It's forward gusset provides ample freedom of movement. I bought 2, one for my medium welsh pony and one for my big WB gelding. They come in super cute colorful plaid variations which help brighten everyone's mood on those rainy days and look great on them. They're very tough and durable so far, easy to keep clean. The snaps and Velcro in front are super easy when your running after them in the mud! The only issue I had was the sizing is a bit diffirent than the other American blankets I have, they run a bit small. My pony is usually a 64-66, I got her a 66 and it was still about 2-3" too short, although th e roominess and ample shoulder room keep it comfortable for her and it works great still. My gelding is big boned at 16.3 and usually a size 80-82" which wasn't offered so I got him a 87 which should have been huge but really only seemed to hang about one size past his tail. Still not bad for him living outside it gives him added protection. I purchased a HGL pony rain sheet for another horse in a 69" which was too big for my welsh so it might be just these sheets or the avalanche style running small. I am not disappointed though and would recommend this product to anyone!Written on by Peetskeet
This rain rug actually fits my wide backed 3/4 Arab. He is really muscular, and most rugs rub on his shoulders. This rug allows for plenty for shoulder freedom, even when he tearing around outside. This rug washes well. I put it in my HE washer on delicate. Hang dry. Looks like new! The color of the aqua plaid is gorgeous on the flashy chestnut!Written on by Piaffe in Chicago
I got this blanket for my 4y/o TB mare. It fits her perfectly and so far has kept her dry and the wind off her. I love the design of the high-neck, so much better than other brand's design in that area. SUPER adjustable front closures w/velcro and buckles. I plan to order this same blanket is the winter weight I've been so please with this one! The teal plaid looks wonderful with her red-bay coat!Written on by Redfishy
I needed an thin lined rain sheet and didn't want anything flimsy. This is not only beautiful but it is so well made it will last a long time. Just a great buy if you're looking for a substantial, long lasting sheet that's breathable, protective, and comes in sooo many cute color options!Written on by Amy K.
This sheet is fabulous for horses who are turned out when it is a little misty out or horses who are left out in the rain. Most sheets fit at the withers. The problem with those sheets, is that rain can still run or drip down their necks onto their shoulders and withers which causes hair loss, skin problems and an uncomfortable situation for the horse. This rain sheet is styled perfectly. The high neck on this sheet takes the worry away for the horse owner who leave his or her outside when it is rainy. My trainer was caught by surprise by rain storm and no one was available to to bring the horses in. My horse was wearing his rain rug which we use as his everyday rug when it is 40 degrees or lower. He was the only horse that was dry. Most of the other horses were ready to come in to escape the rain. My horse was happily munching on grass. This rug also allows plenty of freedom for horses to wear everyday outside. My horse can trot and gallop as big as he likes in the pasture while wearing this. The straps and blanket do not shift. For a little over 100 bucks I know my horse is safe and dry outside and stylish too!Written on by Justine
Exceptional quality, great color. Perfect for my halfinger who is very broad in the chest.Written on by Tallyho
I love this rug and especially the high neck! It fits well, no rubbing and I have never found my horse wet wearing this rug! I wish the outer material would have been a little bit stronger but mine has last for two seasons an hopefully will do next season aswell.Written on by Mary
I purchased this rain sheet to protect my horses when we get a lot of rain, but without really cold weather. I felt the higher neck would be beneficial to help keep the rain off more of the horse. I found this blanket to be very well made. It repels the rain very well, the water just beads up and rolls off. The fit is generous, but was still adjustable enough to fit my Arabian gelding. Only complaint I had is the color choice! I wanted a blue blanket, but do not like red. And the blue is trimmed in red. OK, I can overlook that, as the blanket is going the important thing, keeping my horse dry and comfortable!.Written on by Sandi in Brawley
I love this rug and the neck cover. My horse love it too. It's so durable and beautiful colors!Written on by Valentina Bottiglieri
This sheet is perfect for my 17H guy who is rather broad in the chest. The gussets at his shoulders give him great freedom of movement and the drop at the sides acutally covers his sides. I am very happy with the quality and fit.Written on by Terri
Great sheets and great fit. Love the neck a shoulder fit doesn't slide back like other sheets and stayed on and no rips when turned out with other horses.Written on by Dr. Lindsey
Perfect fit for my 17' draft/tb mare (81"). At 50% off, this was a complete bargain, and perfectly in time for the rainy fall in NorCal.Written on by Nan
My 3/4 Arab is actually quite muscular. He is kind of a barrel. Most sheets do not fit him right though the shoulders. This sheet fits muscular horses well. I love the color. Looks great on my flashy chestnut!Written on by Piaffe in Chicago
This is a great deal. I got it on sale and it fit my horse beautifully. The stitching is very nice and I was glad to add it to my horse's wardrobe!Written on by Krista
I Love these rain rugs, Super durable, nice quality hardware. I have a variety of different size horses, and NO rubs, even after long term use. Does run a size small, so i ordered the next size up, and fits great. great productWritten on by TriHorses3
The quality on these is outstanding for the price. The sheets have all the bells and whistles you'd expect on a $200-300 sheet. Aside from being lower denier (600D) they are very comparable to high-end sheets. They do run enormously huge. I have a 17.2 warmblood who is as big as a house. He wears 87s in Rambo sheets. The 87 in this sheet was hanging off of him. My other warmblood who wears 81s in Ramobs would need a 78 in this sheet. They just run VERY VERY large. Size down as compared to Horseware brand. Be prepare to be delighted by this sheet!Written on by vxf111
I bought two of these blankets, one for my high withered arab, and one for my roly poly draft cross mare. The quality is probably comparable to the Amigo or Schneiders 600d blankets. The outer fabric is a bit thin, but the lining is pretty solid. I have one in the pink/purple color, and the red/white/blue color. The striping on the blankets looks really cool along with the horze logo on the side. These are very unique looking blankets. The high neck is awesome, and works for both of my horses who usually end up with wither rubs. The shoulder gussets are perfect, and don't restrict movement at all, which is usually a problem with my big mare. I've found the blankets run slightly small, but have a good drop length to prevent the "mini skirt effect". My mare has the 87", which fits well through the chest, and is almost a little too long on her sides. (she is 16 hands, but has a big barrel) So far, no rips and they're holding up well. My Arab lives outside 24/7, tends to be be tough on blankets, so I'm pleased that its holding up!Written on by Dana Dettlaff
Great fitting, great looking blanket. Survived everything my horse who rubs on everything could dish out, except for a direct bite from a bully mare in the pen! Well constructed and love the high neck!Written on by ekamerin
This blanket lasted one week on my horse. My prior sheet lasted all summer. This tore at the leg straps and is no longer usable. Very disappointing.Written on by Event rider
I really like this sheet (i have the blue/red/white). I bought it from someone who only used it once on her horse (apparently this horse was a master at getting out of sheets, and pulled off one of the surcingles) I sewed it up and it fit my horse fairly well. I have an OTTB and blankets tend to rub on his shoulders so I have to make sure the fit in the just is just right. It fits really well in the shoulder (the extended neck when his head is lowered is a little awkward and sort of opens the blanket up at the wither area, but it doesn't seem like rain would get in it.Written on by Luxlight
So... I have had this blanket since the beginning of the season. I haven't had a problem with it until now besides a little bit of blanket rub on his shoulders. Apparently my horse doesn't have enough shoulder/neck to keep the front of the blanket tight the way it is supposed to be (like in the picture above). He was in it for the early part of our freezing rain, and when I got out to check on him, the blanket had let in rain through the front around his neck and chest (water proofing is good still). I was going to layer his heavier blanket on underneath but I ended up just removing this one and putting two different blankets on. Thought i would like the raised neck kind, but no so much anymore...Written on by luxlight
I bought two of these sheets - one after the other because I really liked the style and fit. However, both of them lost their waterproof quality after a VERY short period of time. They are not even a year old and if they wear them in a light rain, they get SOAKED. A very big problem for a rain sheet. I have other brands that have maintained their waterproof effect for years as I do not use them very often. This is my first disappointment with a Horze product.Written on by Anonymous
Sheet looks nice, fits well and I like the high neck to relieve pressure points and distribute the weight. However for the price it is not a value unless your horses are turned out alone. If they are with other horses who like to play (mine do) the sheet does not hold up very well. With our recent weather I decided I would like a sheet not blanket for the cold rain, about 40 degrees. They only needed to be dry and didn't need added warmth, so in a pinch I purchased 2 from a local tack store and 600D was all they had only used them the one time and they are pretty torn up from play. If you don't need one quickly and can wait for the shipping I would definitely find a 1200D sheet for probably either same price or lessWritten on by Anonymous
I have had this for my horse for a few months now and I really like it! I got one of the plaid ones and it is very sharp looking and has held up very well on my horse. Great blanket, great price!Written on by Lisa
Make sure you read and understand the contract that you will have to sign. It needs to be updated and authentic for the contact to be issued. Do not use the word-of-mouth contracts because they won’t protect you if there was an issue.
